Clogs are cleared with plungers through the process of water displacement. The more water pushed towards the clog per plunge determines the ability of the plunger. Standard designed rubber cup plungers displace about 2 to 4 cups of water per plunge. The bellows design Master Plunger displaces between 8 to 10 cups per plunge, depending on the model.
