In this case the temperature needs to on a medium / hot setting – the dwell time is the important factor and this can only be determined by experimentation – suggest in the region of 6 – 10 seconds with pressure applied. Ideally test adhesion strength on a sample – pull the tape back after application and cooling and you should feel a strong resistance. For a good seal to be achieved the glue needs to be flowing / molten and pressure must be applied across the full width of the tape.
