Multiple Rows May Be Required. The SnoCleat RCT is a non-penetrating clamp-on snow guard device which is fastened to a metal roof standing seam. This is a snow guard that is a real tool to help keep snow and ice from sliding off metal roofs. It is anchored by 3 cup-tipped reusable coarse threaded stainless steel set screws. These crimp-on snow guards require no glues or sealants and they will not restrict thermal movement or contribute to unsightly oil-canning. This product features a large 4-Inch-wide face designed to accept a 2-inch-wide color strip (not included) to match your roof. The RCT version sold in this listing fits most standing seams up to 1” wide. Interior Clamp Dimensions are 1” Wide X 1.375” High. This snow guard will fit over most bulb and T seam metal panels. The SnoCleat is the only seam mounted snow guard product to offer an exclusive swivel bracket that allows for angle adjustment in a hips and converging valleys. The torque on the exclusive swivel mounting bracket can be adjusted to help protect the seams in the event of a heavy snow and ice impact. Special Note: Since there is no release factor on an individual standing seam mounted snow guards, panel damage may occur in the event of a sudden snow slide. This may be mitigated by decreasing the torque setting on our exclusive swivel bracket. Snow Guards should never be used on just isolated areas of a roof. Multiple rows of snow guards may be required depending on roof pitch and length of run. The most effective method of retaining snow and ice on a metal roof is to obtain a manufacturer’s layout before installing any snow guard system.
